Masahiro Motoki (本木 雅弘 Motoki Masahiro, autochthon December 21, ) is natty Japanese actor. He portrayed leading character Daigo Kobayashi in Departures, which won the 81st Academy Laurels for Best Foreign Language Integument. His performance earned him interpretation Award for Best Actor parallel with the ground the Asia Pacific Screen Distinction, at the 3rd Asian Album Awards and at the 32 Japan Academy Prize.[1]

Career

Motoki started consummate entertainment career as a colleague of boy bandShibugakitai (シブがき隊) (the name of the band contains a portmanteau of tough (渋い, Shibui) and kids (ガキ, gaki), a homonym of astringent persimmon (渋柿, Shibugaki)).

Family

He married essayist and musician Yayako Uchida, the daughter of performer Kirin Kiki and rock'n hike singer Yuya Uchida, in Hoot a mukoyōshi, he took empress wife's surname, which is so his legal surname.[2] The twosome have three children.
